This review was a bit different for me in that it was not a formal dine-in restaurant venue. In fact, this was my first review of a catered event, which was very neat to see. A large wedding of almost 800 held at the Broadway Pavilion was the event at hand. From the lines of people, plates of tacos, smiles on faces, and empty plates left on the tables; it was clear to me that in the two-hour dinner service, the 760+ tacos served were an amazing hit!

Hector and his crew work like a well-conducted symphony! There were hot corn tortillas and perfectly grilled Angle fish fillets flying off the grill. A spectacle to watch and treat to taste!

Baja Shrimp Ceviche consist of freshly diced tiger shrimp marinated perfectly in citrus. Paired with tomato, green onion, avocado, and classic herbs to bring out a true punch of succulent seafood that hits the pallet with a zing and umami goodness.

Mexican Roasted Corn is made with sweet corn and traditional Mexican spices. This corn is like crack! Once you start eating it—you can’t stop and don’t care! The combo of natural corn sweetness with the subtle, but clear chipotle punch makes for a fantastic side-kick for any taco plate!

Citrus Salad Greens consist of crisp field greens, orange slices, raspberries, and strawberries with a simple lemon-citrus vinaigrette. This dish is a refreshing contrast to the bite and heat of any taco, spicy entrée or side item.

Baja Fish Tacos are lightly battered fish that are deep fried. Add in shredded cabbage and their signature aioli and you have a classic staple for Casanova Fish Tacos. This is a big hitter!

Grilled Chipotle Fish Tacos are made with chipotle marinated fish that is grilled and served with shredded cabbage. For those who like a spicy heat in your taco, this has your name all over it! You just can’t go wrong!

Grilled Ginger Fish Tacos are comprised of grilled fish, ginger, butter, shredded cabbage, and cilantro aioli. Go a little outside the box with this rendition on the classic. Fresh ginger and butter meld with classic flavors to create an enjoyable spin on an already spectacular fish taco!

Slow Roasted Beef Tacos consist of beef, herbs, spices, shredded cabbage, and cilantro aioli. The ground beef is robust with chipotle flavor and is balanced out by the more basic cream-based cilantro aioli. It may not be a fish taco, but you’re going to be pleased none the less!

Be sure to wrap up your meal by getting a sample of the house made salsas! The chunky-style Salsa Pico De Gallo and the green Salsa Tomatillo with Habanero are truly unique! These two salsas will take your tortilla chip and taco games to new levels!

Grilled roasted corn kernels with butter and sprinkled with parmesan cheese. Tapatio hot sauce optional.
